Rithyland - Gastronomy Tours | Rethymno Crete

About 6km southeast of Rethymnon, we visit a quiet area, where we meet and discover the intriguing and special world of mushrooms. Here, the unique climate conditions favour mushroom growth. Lovers of this strange, yet charming flora, have the opportunity to see the mushroom development, ripening and harvesting process.

Following that, our excursion heads to the village of Asteri, where we enjoy a Greek coffee in a distinctive place with an interesting history. Here, you can relax and lock the landscape forever in your memory, by photographing the beautiful, picturesque village.

At the end of the tour, we enjoy an authentic, Cretan meal in a traditional taverna, with recipes for dishes made from pure, Cretan ingredients. Accompany your meal with the local wine or raki and let your palate enjoy flavours that can only be found on the enchanting island of Crete.
